Just got my straplocks, ummmm is it correct that the nut goes on one side of the strap and the large washer on the other?

I don't have any EBMM strap locks (yet), so I don't know what they actually look like underneath. However, if you've only got one washer, chances are very good that it goes under the nut (i.e., between the nut and the leather of the strap).

It's also a very good idea to go to the hardware or auto parts store and get some blue (medium) thread lock compound (comes in a little squeeze tube or bottle). Generically known as Loc-Tite, but it doesn't have to be that brand. Just make sure it's the blue kind.

Use this stuff to keep the nut from loosening and causing your strap lock to fall off.

It's also really handy for keeping the retaining nut on your bass's jack from loosening, which is something that's happened to me a whole lot in the past.

Paradoxically, the tubes and bottles for blue Loc-Tite and equivalent brands are usually red. Go figure.

So in order from Strap lock button, it goes buttoned strap lock end - strap - washer - nut?

One of the beauties of the new EB straplocks is that even if the nut came completely off, your bass wouldn't fall.

I noticed this, great design. Only thing is I need to get used to how much they stick out, no biggie though!
