Hi all,
If you are at all interested, I have just posted the first track recorded with my BFR Luke on our myspace page.
I'm not saying that you'll love the track!!!... most of you will most likely HATE it :p... but someone out there may be curious in my take on the Luke's sound. I used it for both rythm and lead.
The link is under here.

Nice job, good vocals and guitar especially. Busy snare kinda wore on me a bit, but maybe it was s'posed to.

Well, I hope you don't mind, I listened to some of the song which was good but I fast forwarded to the lead parts. It is very good. The lead was very articulate and melodic and the BFR came through with the right tone. Excellent playing.

Wow....from your userid, band name and the way you announced the track, I expected some unmelodic screamo thingy. I liked it! Very nice job - and I loved the lead!

A big THANK YOU

A massive thanks to you six guys.
Thank you for taking time out and listening and posting replies.

Volt - Thank you for the kind words. I'm stoked that you like the tune.

Candid x - Thank you very much my friend. You're right about the snare. The songs outro has 4 seperate kits playing simultaniously... the idea is to bludgeon the listener! :D painfully at loud volumes!... I didn't think that it was deliberate enough but you got it.

JP BlueDawn - Of course I don't mind my friend. You took the time to listen and reply... for that and your kind words, thank you very much.

starsky and DJ - Thank you guys very much for listening and commenting, big 'respect' to you both.

MikeVt - I'm glad that you were pleasantly surprised. Your kind words again are very much appreciated... I really was stoked when I read you're reply.

As we say in GB... I'm chuffed to bits! :) (starsky knows what I mean)

Interesting sound - more from the darker side ;)
I kinda thought while listening, that you might rather be in for a BFR JP considering your sound ?!
Cool stuff and great playing, man !

BTW - who's the hot chick holding the bass on yer MySpace page ?! :D

lol!! a Genesis cover band... wow! that's a new one on me! :D Thank you for the compliment. I'm pleased that you like it... I realise that our music is an aquired taste and as a result I really appreciate your comments.

Axilla - Thank you also my friend. Yeah I REALLY like the JP... we'll see! :)
The hot chick is even hotter in person... she's really cool too and has some radical views... all reflected in the lyrics of all of our songs. She's very confident and that gets a bit scary when you are in her company for a while... guys that approach her when she doesn't want attention always get more than they bargain for. She looks so sweet too eh! She has a really kind side too though and is great on stage... which is a good job when you see us two guys eh!

That was great! Thanks for posting your link, I really enjoyed those! How are you getting that tone! I had to go back and listed to the 1st part of your solo twice because I almost didn't think it was a guitar, sounded almost like someone was throwing down a synth lead! Awesome!

Was that just guitar into amp? or were there some cool modulation effects going on as well...but totally, your playing is so clean..best of luck!

Overwhelmed

I am truly overwhelmed by the recent comments from you guys and as always I feel that you all deserve individual replies.

Sticky1973 - Thank you so much for your comments. I remain truly gobsmacked at your reaction. I always thought that our music was an aquired taste, maybe too 'out there' for anyone else to like. We never thought others... apart from family members, who just like anything you do eh!... would give our tunes a moments attention. Ruby was all smiles... I've never seen her so pleased :)

universe777 - Again, thank you sir... I am very pleased that you like the tunes. The sound for the solo at the start is Luke neck PU into a Keeley modded TS9 FLEXI 4X2 Ibanez tube screemer then into channel 2 of a Mesa dual rectifier set to vintage into a Dr Z attenuator and out of a Marshall JCM 900 1960 4X12. Thank you VERY MUCH for your comments on my playing... like most guitarists I never really think that I get it right so your words are very important to me

seahwk51 - Ruby was over the moon when I read out your comments. Thank you very much Lee, firstly for listening, then for taking time to post a response. I find it difficult to express how pleased we all are that you have listened to us three nobodies  :)

Spudman - WOW! Thank you man, I can't believe you've taken the time to listen to more than a snip of the first tune :eek: :). We are stoked that you like the band... I think we'll move Stateside! I have posted pics of the BFR Luke in another thread if you have a look for;

'Pics of my new Ruby Burst BFR Luke' in my profile.

Thank you all again for making us feel so good... Ruby wants me to send out hugs to you all... WOW!... you get closer than me! :)

This is some good stuff... don't know why you'd think no one here would like it. I do quite like it.

I agree, the way you announced the track made me squeamish... but, I too was pleasantly surprised. I like it a lot! I love the vocals as well.

The sounds is good, the playing is great. An acquired taste? I've acquired it then.

Hey Warg Master, thank you very much... I think we should move to the States... not many people get this in the UK at all... with the exception of Starsky from an earlier post. I think that you guys in the States have broader tastes, perhaps because you are exposed to music with more diverse style. I think the US market is so huge that music of all kinds gets exposure. Here in the UK the market is small and not very diverse... and in my humble opinion the music industry here is a little myopic.
Thank you for your compliments WM we are honoured that you have taken time to listen to us :)
