So, just before Beej's Luke came up for sale, I was watching the UK Ebay site and saw this Axis Sport come up. £500, an hour left, and no bids. And so with a few seconds to go I sniped a bid of £510 with the absolute certainty I wouldn't win..and guess what???!!

The "black" thing wasn't planned, but I think it worked out nicely!!

They look nice but black guitars become fingerprint central and every dent becomes totally apparent.

Nice pair of Balls.

Black looks great !!!!

Don't they just, and I never saw it coming!

I think a Black Hardtail Silo Special SSS would make for a great trio and would cover any musical style, but my bank account needs to recover first.

Thanks all for the kind words.

Cheers Spud. As a UK-er, you'll know how lucky I was to get a trem piezo Sport for £500. Sign of the times I guess...

I never liked black guitars before coming over to MM, for the same reasons Azazael stated. I don't know what it is about MM guitars that appeals to me in black, whether it's the paint, shapes and/or smaller sizes of the guitars? I dig them.

Nice score, Ricman!

. Who needs a fancy top?!?!?!

Rob, you just ordered a BFR AL! Tops don't come any fancier!!

Nice one Rob, it'll be awesome I'm sure.

Thanks everyone for the comments. This Sport is great, loving the tone of the neck pickup. I use to have an ASS - the neck pickup seems a bit darker on the Sport - I guess the maple top on the ASS brightens things up.

The only problem with the Sport is that it has to battle against my Luke for attention.

Happy days!!:)
