Hey everybody, my wait is over! Got the call yesterday, thought for sure it would be a terrible wait for a Monday or Tuesday delivery, but HOO HAW, Fed Ex Home brought this baby today!!!

This was special order I did, and I gotta' say, it's pretty cool that this one was made just for me! I say it's worth the wait. Once! Next time I'm buying one in stock! HA!

Thanks to EB, as we all know PERFECT customer service for me. Ordering it up was a snap! They also went ahead and did the pick-up and knob color request for me - Awesome! Thanks also to Bo at Wild West Guitars! Awesome service as well! He was going to do the pick-up, knob switch for me at no extra charge, as EB doesn't have to do so. Thanks to all! I'll be in touch for my next Ball!

To the Axis... Amazing, of course! I was a little worried what I'd think of the MM90's due to some folks dislike of them on here, but I gotta say, I like 'em! Once those strings deaden up a little, I think I'll really like them.
Also, this Axis seals the deal, I think it's bye-bye PRS, HELLO JP6!!! Or maybe a Luke, or maybe a Morse Y2D, or an AL, or, or, or AAGGGHHHH!

This is a powerful drug yer' slingin' here EB, but I like it!!!

Off to plaaaaaayyyyyy!!!

I'll try and get some better pics linked up. Right now, I have no hosting set-up, so i'm limited to the forum attachment.

Very sweet top! As you now know...this one is the first of many.

I highly recommend the Luke...it's a tone monster!

Congrats!

Thanks, man! Yeah, it's between a Luke or a JP right now. I've never had active pick-ups on a 6 sting before, so that would be a cool thing to add to the collection. I'll have to find a store that has both and really check them out. I want piezo next time for sure - kinda' kickiin' myself for not getting that on this one...

Love that color, great choice.

Do you live near Riverside?

Nope, North Hollywood/Burbank area. When EB did the database search for the specs I was looking for, it didn't exist, so I asked them for some good dealers, then avoided all the Guitar Centers like the plague, ;) and ended up picking Wild West based on their great service and response.

That is a beauty; I just got my first Axis less than a week ago, and it is amazing! I love this guitar, and their customer service is second to none.

Thanks man. Well, I'm jealous of your Morse!!

I always had a feeling that I'd get a good top, don't ask how, I just did!!
Then, just a week or so ago, I read on the forums here about someone 'not requesting a flame or quilt top.' I thought, oh crap, you have to request that?! So, I figured I was getting a rather flat colored, plane top, so it was a great surprise to get this top!

Nice one...Good choice of color

Thanks! Yeah, I decided to move away from my normal choice, Blue!
I was going for a classy, kinda retro, blues, jazz machine with this one!
But as we all know, this baby rocks too! Digging the MM90s!!

My next color choice list is Trans Black, Emerald Burst (man I'm tempted to go BFR, but am I worthy, and can I afford one?!?!) or Egyptian Smoke and the new killer, Ice Blue!!

I need to win a lottery! :D

Congrats Dude, I've been reading your posts! I guess we're the newest members in club Axis! I remember falling in love with the look of these guitars back with the EVH model. Then, I must admit, Ernie Ball kinda fell off the map for me, not that I was in the market for new guitars. Then I got my Stingray! My first day home with it, I decided my next 6 string would be a Ball. 7 years later, here we are!!! I might need to add a Super Sport HH some day! I'd love to make it a BFR, I'm real curious how effective that mahogany tone block is!

Thanks, man! I agree! :D
If I do, say a Flickr page, can I link to those pics?
Right now I'm limited to the forum limit, which doesn't allow much.
I'll try and get some better pics for sure!
