Pug I completely hear and understand you man. I'm sure that AL is way more than happy with what he's got right now. But you never know when someone might try something a bit different and say "WOW"!!.

I know that MM is always tweaking and messing around with different ideas, man would I love to be a fly on the wall of that engineering department.

I imagine it goes something like this:

Dudley, hey guys BP just read a thread on the forum and it gave him an idea. Let's make a prototype of a pick guardless AL and do some testing with different pickup configurations.

Hahahahahahahahaha, just my wild imagination running loose here. Dudley am I way off on this one??

How about a little insight into the engineering process at MM. Being a mechanical designer and a fluent Pro-Engineer user/operator I'm sure the majority of us (NorM included) would be thrilled to hear about it

Thanx, Glenn |B)

perhaps.. behind bars? :D

a rear mounted al would be on my list.. it still puzzles me that the bfr al has a pickguard that hides all that flame/quilt :)
but i guess its like that for a reason. mabbe it doesnt sound right without the guard?

Oh boy - I do remember that one on e bay a few years back - straight through neck - black - awesome proto that!!

I wish I had the money at the time to get it (I can't remember how much it went for!)

I always loved how the AL pickguard compliments the body shape where it runs parallel to the top horn (for lack of a better description)

Just a sexy beast and all this conversation about AL's is making it very hard for me not to try and pull something off to get one.

Kev,

I love my Morse, it is incredible and the design works so well for my wrist that it's a pleasure to play again

I think sometimes I catch AL fever, but it would be nice to add one to the collection though...

Around here, there are ideas flying around all of the time! BP and the crew keep us well focussed on the priorities, but there is always something new on the horizon.

It's quite fun keeping "ahead of the curve!!"

Yah man I'm sure. Are you guys still like 5 or 6 people in engineering? I see there is an opening on the Careers page, would that be with you guys?
