I think that was a fantastic bargain FingB had.
I'd have to sand all the paint off the neck - just can't get on with any of my guitars that have lacquered or painted necks since I went over to EB gun stock oil necks.
Horses for courses I guess.

WOW thread back from the dead zone, yea i got a fantastic deal on this SUB, and love every time I play it, I still want to mod it but man part of me just wants to leave it as is, cant believe how mint it is, Spud I do prefer the maple gunstock neck, i have no prob with a finished neck done right like the SUB and my KOA ASS, now working on some other new BALLS
