Does anyone know what's so special about the 2007 Limited Edition of the Silhouette Special? My local dealer can offer me this guitar for a very attractive price. I think i will buy this one, because it is 200€ cheaper than the regular Silhouette Special.

You better buy this, because the price is so much cheaper than a regular one, but the color is 10x more special!!!

Here's mine ;) :

2007 le will give ya blue dawn which is one awesome finish!!!
from black to an awesome blue fade, and then you add the sparkle into the equation.. you cant go wrong ;)

Yup, sparklish blue bursting from a black edge, like a morning sky full of glittering stars..

Silo, or silo special are indeed great on this one. But for me, the closest I get to that fingerpickcking sound of Mark Knopfler is the standard Morse.

Of course it has to do with the twangy single coils, which shine through on a really good clean amp. But it also is the stop tail which, at least to me, gives a bit more tension on the strings, which is exactly right for fingerpicking. I mean, just listen to what Steve does with his fingers on this guitar.

You're still going to need a Les Paul, no disrespect to MM.

Just sayin'.

That's where a piece like this comes in... The closest to an LP tone I can get without getting an LP:

hmmm... a les paul sounds very different to the 20th. the 20th is the closest you can get to a les paul sound from ebmm but the 20th is a unique guitar which is great.

when we play brothers in arms i pick up my 58 les paul vos and i am in les paul tone heaven. and usually i don´t like gibson at all but the custom shop vos line is really great.
