Thanks, AJ! One of the first orange swirl pickguards out of SLO on Moby, the White Whale Bongo.

It has some really cool shimmery stuff going on--almost like an alien abalone. And, I think it looks great on Moby.

CONGRATS on the unlined fretless Bongo 5!!

I have a similiar Bongo 5 HH/P unlined coming soon, but I was wondering, do they ship it with flats? If not can we ask that it ships that way? I'm definitely going to put flats on my baby when it gets here.

Sorry if I highjacked your thread...maybe I should start my own.

Heh. Yeah, sorry about the comforter cover. It is a bit disorienting. :D

Moby has served me well for over three years now. It's about time he got a new suit. The tort is, of course, a classic look--even on the Bongo. But, I am digging the orange swirl. Lots of colors that don't come out in the pictures shown online so far. Another winner from EB!

They don't ship with flats, and you can't specify, but they are cheap. :D I'm a big fan of the EB flats--especially with piezos.

sweeet, shame they discontinued white,

and also the swirly-ness combined with the floral bedsheet does make me a bit dizzy

how does the fretless sound running just the piezos and the front S?

It sounds amazing. That's my favorite Bongo tone, actually, and the one I use most often when playing the fretless. Now that I've got my Firebox and Cubase set up with the new computer, I'll try and record some samples.

That's probably what my sound would be too, but im thinking frets might be more useful for the situations that im in, would the piezos still be worth wile getting?

Well, my 5HHP has frets and I like what the piezo adds to the mix for that bass, too. But, I don't miss the piezo on my 5H Dargie with frets. So, if you want 'em, get 'em. :D
