As far as I'm concerned anyway ... as perfect a match as I'd imagined. The Stealth has landed! Sounds and plays ... like a Bongo, amazing. My compliments to the Chef!

Here's a link with a few more photos of this one (with the Stealth's "standard" black pg - the black ice one is not actually installed in these pix), and some of the Bongo together with my Natural SR4HH: Black & Tan

I like that alot, even though it kinda isn't like the stealth.

I'm so happy to have a Bongo again, I've really missed it. I know I'm singing to the choir here, but it's such a joy to play, in terms of both feel and sound. It's a really special bass, and that's saying alot, among EBMM basses, which are all top-shelf.

I got severely sunburned this past Sunday, hiking all day at ~13000 ft. with no sunscreen. Big time rookie mistake. Blisters on the backs of my knees, it sucks. But the arrival of this beauty Monday definitely got me off my arse, and has brought some real enjoyment to these otherwise miserable last few days.

I still haven't installed the Black Ice pg - you should see me hobbling around. I'll get to that soon enough. Yeah, it does technically "de-Stealth" it a little, but it's no less of a Stealth Bongo to me, and it's exactly what I wanted it to be.

It's official: I'm a Bongoloid. The Natural SR4HH will become a Sterling Silver Bongo.

I apologize if this has been answered before, but where would one order one of these fine black ice pick guards for lets say a 5 string HH bongo?

Hate to say it, but I think Black Ice was discontinued as of August 15th...

That black ice on stealth looks fabulous. Your taste is impeccable, as always.

But I'm totally confused: I thought you waited for a B5?

Thx Oli. About the B5, you may be remembering that the first Bongo I had was a Stealth 5 HH. Playing/owning that one, I realized that I <a> loved the Bongo, but <b> wanted a 4. That B5HH got traded for the '07 LE SR4HH I had for a while, which later got sold to help fund the BFR Redwood SR4HH I had for a while, which was later traded for the 2 basses I now have!
