Hi guys, just joined because I just bought a Super Sport. Let me ask you a question. Is the model I got easy to sell? I got it as an investment towards a JP6. It's on the last page of guitars for sale. What do you think? Let me know because I haven't bought it quite yet!

Thats funny, yea does sound like something I would do, wait i have done it, but at least mine was clean, LOL
I own it now. I had most of it payed as a safety function for myself incase something was wrong with it. Never trust craigslist. Can someone actually answer my question? And I love the neck on the guitar, not happy about the body. The edge is annoying for my arm.

You should be able to resell it for the same price you got it while you save up for the JP. That way you have a great guitar to play while you seek the guitar of your dreams instead of keeping the money somewhere else without use. That is if you don't fall in love with that guitar and decide not to resell

Hard to say what your ASS will bring, but certainly it will sell....maybe not for $1200which seems a little steep for one that has cosmetic issues. Looks and cosmetic condition are very important to the masses and there are very few who don't place "as much" emphasis on them. So a big chunk out of the finish on the top is a big hit for selling your ASS, whether or not an arm covers it while playing. Maybe it's best to get it repeired prior to trying to unload it. Another member mentions cleaning the guitar, which again points to condition and serviceability. Cleaning it prior to taking pics would be a good selling point.
A hardtail ASS in "MINT" condition sold recently on ebay for $960. It is only worth as much as someone will pay for it, and the economy is not in great shape at the moment. Here's what the surrent crop on ebay is selling for.....

You bought a MM guitar in hopes that it would increase in value (rather quickly)
so that you could purchase a different model MM guitar.
Well, here is the answer to your "is this viable" question - "yes".
However, like other investments, you may want to look at this as a little longer term investment. Reason being, the company that sold the guitar to you, in the first place, had the same idea as you, but he was situated in the "chain" of ecomomics a little bit differently than you.
Thanks for the replies guys, helpful indeed. Seems the economy even effects guitar selling. I have a local guy that'll do $1000 for it with a case so I may do that. Not shipping is good for me. But because of this, if anybody is interested in the guitar, I'll do $1000 on here.
