You do great work.

Could you give me the DOB of E16005 Its a lovely Piezo Stingray in sparkle black, Maple board. Also where was it sold to initially?

Cheers. Rob.

So we meet again, Dan!

I'm dying to know, how close is my black and maple Sterling 5 F19621 to being the first off the production line?

Thanks a ton!

Hi Dan,

Please tell me the details of
MusicMan Stingray Serial E07672,
with like "LAKE PLACID BLUE",Rosewood fretboard,
a matching headstock and a matching neck back,
mint green pickguard..

I bought it in Japan as new old stock(1998).
Is this the original?

Thanks!

Hi Dan, My Stingray # 33049 is prefixed with an 'E', making it E33049, something I didn't know was relevant , sorry about that.

Looks like around 2002 I reckon?

Yes! I would say that is relevant! Your 2-Band EQ StingRay in Vintage Sunburst and a rosewood neck indeed was completed on August 20 2002, then on Sept 6 began winging its way to the United Kingdom.

Now it all makes a lot more sense -

Cheers

Dan

Rob - why - thank you!

Your jewel was completed on June 30 2000, and was also shipped to Strings & Things Ltd., our benevolent distributor in the U.K. Where it went from there you'd have to check with them.

Cheers,

Kristopher,

Besides the ones from NAMM and that went to Mighty Dave LaRue, there were only 2 that were shipped before yours (that went to DuBaldo's) - Bass Central and Bass Northwest.

Oh - and yours was made on April 15th this year.

Cool ~

Yes, this was a special run we did just for our hallowed Japanese distributor, Kanda Shokai. I believe there were about 85 of these Lake Placid Blue StingRays. The actual build date on yours is July 28 1999, but they were all made around the same time. I would have thought the neck would have been painted black. ... hmm .. and ah yes, the minty green pickguard - a refreshing instrument indeed! ;)

It's neck has not been painted black, but has been painted LAKE PLACID BLUE.
It's body and neck and head are all painted in LAKE PLACID BLUE (like bongo).
It is bright and beautiful SR.

James, this baby was built on 4/05/05 and went originally to Steve's Music in Montreal. I would guess this was among the first of the Stealths built -
