James, this baby was built on 4/05/05 and went originally to Steve's Music in Montreal. I would guess this was among the first of the Stealths built -

Dan

Thanks! Just picked it up at Cosmo Music in Richmond Hill (near Toronto). So it's not TOO far from it's original home.

Kristopher,

Besides the ones from NAMM and that went to Mighty Dave LaRue, there were only 2 that were shipped before yours (that went to DuBaldo's) - Bass Central and Bass Northwest.

Oh - and yours was made on April 15th this year.

Cool ~

Dan

Thanks Dan! I'm glad to know I was one of the very first. I just gigged her tonight, she is a workhorse!

Richard,

Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on your new bass! Your bass was built on 11/03/06. It was originally shipped to Long & McQuade in Markham.

I've looked everywhere!

Great forum, guys, and I'm sure someone will be able to help me.

I'm trying to record details of my StingRay with an online property register, but I can't find the serial number anywhere! I've looked all over the guitar itself (including in the battery compartment).

I bought it second-hand about ten years ago, and it still had the limited warranty paper, the Allen key and the Ernie Ball polish cloth.

What have I missed?

Hi,Dan!
I am relieved to hear your advice, and many thanks!

It's neck has not been painted black, but has been painted LAKE PLACID BLUE.
It's body and neck and head are all painted in LAKE PLACID BLUE (like bongo).
It is bright and beautiful SR.

Thanks.

I'd sure love to see a pic of the LPB!

Can you put one in the Pic Gallery (sticky thread)

Hi Mate,

Please tell me when i was born.

I am a 4 string Sterling, Desert Gold (i think) with White Pearloid Pick guard

Serial # F10064

Cheers

Hi Again,

It seems you may have missed my original post, could you please help me with this one.

Thanks in advance

Sorry, Dave, I have been swamped lately and missed your post. Your Sterling has a build date of July 1st, 2004 - and yes it is definitely Desert Gold, rosewood, and shipped with a white pearloid pickguard to GC.

Don, correct! Your StingRay was completed on 2/15/01 and was shipped to Sam Ash Music near Chicago.

Sounds like a beauty!
