The only pic I can find of Olive Gold is the Stingray bass posted in the "2008 New Colors" thread some time ago. I was hoping somebody had a different picture of that finish.

Thanks, Foggy! I knew those pictures of a skinny BP testing an Olive Gold bass existed. I found the thread where this photo originated, but the links to the pictures were all bad.

Ya, I got it when they first came out. It's awesome. I recommend everybody to get one.
I haven't seen the Olive in person, but have seen the LE. They're nothing alike. The LE is awesome!!!!! It's a cross between red and golden brown. I expect the Olive to be a cross between green and brown.
I can't wait to see the LE, I'm jealous. I really wanted one but couldn't get past the 2008 LE inlay.

Seems like the LE inlay has been a subject of great debate. I can't say that I love it, but it doesn't offend me either.
I don't want to start anything. Some like it, some don't.
I think it looks classy on the BFRs, just not the LEs.

I never liked it. But because it's 2008, which is the same birth year as my son, and the guitar was meant for him, I'm fine with it. After taking it to a few jam sessions, it's totally ok with me now.

theperfectbass already has instruments in the new colors (a cabernet bongo and a firemist ray, both are really hot!). The olives may be out there somewhere.

I've got an Olive Gold JP coming that should be ready in the next week or so. White Pearl & Sterling Silver are going to beat it here though
