Unfortunatly... my dargie is at home in VA... i only had it for a day before i came back to CT so i had nothing to compare it it against. I think i will hold on to the PG for now and give it a shot on the dargie. Will be interesting if nothing else. JOSH

Well, they have the templates, so just because it came with black and diamond plate as stock doesn't really mean much. There's a picture of the gold swirl in the sticky thread with the new 2008 colors.

This implies that I can order a SUB pickguard, through my dealer, in any of the current colors.

1. Is this true?
2. What about just-discontinued colors? Can I order a Sub5 pickguard in Black Ice?

Thanks,
P

If you want something, contact EB Customer Service. The only reason they couldn't do it, really, is if they got rid of the templates. But, there could be more to it than that that I am not aware of. A 2 minute phone call should answer your question with great accuracy instead of internet speculation. I just ordered another new pickguard and two input jacks and it was very painless.

And, as has been pointed out--Black Ice has been discontinued. They might still have some in stock, but that could be saved for warranty repairs, or something.

It was discontinued as of August, so who knows? I know!! EB Customer Service knows.
