I got this one
Ernie Ball Petrucci Model For Sale

The story goes like this:-

I tried a Pet out at the LIMS and liked the feel of it.
I was hankering after getting a Mystic Dream/Piezo/dot inlays.

What happens - an EVH comes up that I'd been hunting down for some time, so the Pet idea goes out of the window.

I saw the Pet advertised on the Craigslist thread and asked if anybody lived nearby.
Knucklehead Fsmith says he lives 10 minutes away and offers to "go see".

It has a history insofar :-
it started life as a Mystic Dream.
Was resprayed
had a wolfgang EVH pickup installed in the neck position.
2 of the Piezo saddles need looking at.
It needs a set up

All the above info Fred fed back to me.

To get a second hand one over here would have cost me big big bucks, and was out of my league after getting the EVH.

Fred makes him an offer and he accepts it - not only that but fred got the original pickup too (the EVH pickup will be returned to him.)

This will be a project - my aim is to get the original pick up put back in, get the electrics sorted (help beej ;)) and maybe consider a refinish in Nitro celly (as M Dream will be beyond my capabilities).

Fred has the guitar - he is an absolute star and believe me, he has gone beyond what I have stated here. Thanks Fred. you are indeed a gentleman.

Now how do I join the Petrucci owners club ??

.......I think you'll need to deal with an angry response from the Black Guitar Owners Club first!! Definitely a lapsed member.

Well done (and to MrSmith too!) and hope you enjoy it when it arrives.

Yes indeed - I am very much indebted to you it was a crazy price - (I wouldn't have got it if it was more expensive).

I'm looking forward to getting it over the pond & nursing it back to health.

... and cheers for the welcome.

(If I do get a T shirt like my Avtar, I better put a Petrucci equivalent on the back ha!)

I may get banished from the club if I make an AL body for it.

24 fret AL/Rosewood neck/Humbuckers/Piezo/Floating trem/nopick guard/chambered

- now that would be an eye opener !!!

Nice catch spud!

Actually, you can't join the POC until you give up one AL to a deserving member and that would be me...

Wow. Nice score, Spud. I hope you enjoy it. Congratulations! I love the JP6. I wouldn't ever dream of parting with mine even though I have the BFR version. Great stuff!
