Hello
I am a UK owner of a Black MMStingray 3 EQ Rosewood neck bass. Amazing bass, and barely ever played due to uni and security problems I had in my old house. (It was kept at my parents in its case). This was purchased from Electro Music in Doncaster.
Ive had this problem on my last MM as well, which I still own - a Natural MM Stingray Maple Neck 3 EQ.
Basically, there is a tiny 'crack' on the neck plate, next to the 2nd screw on the top row...its only a few mm's long, and its only just appeared over the last 3-4 months.
It cannot be from wear and tear, as if you saw this thing, its pristine, I could sell it as new its that good!
Im just a bit worried about it. Last time, on the naural MM, it took a while to get a new neck plate and they had to give me a new number for it.
Is it possible to get a new plate? Im sure its probably nothing major...it may just be the chrome....is there another metal underneath that wont be cracked?
Do you hear of this often? As this is my 2nd bass ive had that its happened to
?
If the warranty is out...I dont mind paying for it...if you think its worth getting it replaced. it its just the chrome flaking, and its a common thing, I wont be so bothered.
Edit...I just checked your site and its definitely over a year old...what would be my position now?
Thanks
