Hey now,

I picked up some wonder wipes today to clean up a grimey fretboard. Well the make it nice and shiny but it appears the grime has worked its way into the fretboard. The fretboard looks like a zebra.

I've read steel wool is a no no on maple... Any other suggestions?

Says who? I use steel wool but only like once a year, and use 0000 grade, it won't even scratch glass.

Lemon oil and orange oil also cleans fretboards but if you use lemoil, be very careful to wipe off ALL lemon oil when you´re done!! Lemon oil can make maple crack if left on the fretboard for a long time.

I THINK that Ernie Balls wonder wipes actually contains orange oil.
