Voiced fricatives.
Blessed be my friend Jack, but I HATED linguistics. My professor was a little guy who clearly would rather have been out transcribing the languages of South American indigenous peoples rather than teaching a bunch of Aggies the nuts and bolts of how humans make sound with their voices.

I transcribed a whole Spanish dictation once, including the burp that they inadvertently passed, and turned it in to my similar Spanish professor in college. I thought he was going to chastise me for having disrespected Spanish linguistics in such a way, but I got an A!
Soooooo, how about those diphthongs?
What about "throaty"? Where do I play to sound "throaty"? Gots to have my throaty !
