Sorry, I am not familiar with the current single coils on dual pickup configurations of the basses. Are they true single coils or are they stacked or have a dummy coil? And will the ones on the new model be the same?

BP's been letting the cat out of the bag little by little. it looks like BP comes on by and shares more info when a part of the design is pretty much settled on
So, im guessing whatever details haven't been shared yet means that they're still working on putting some final touches & polish.
I've seen a few pics of the body and, tho they all has had a common "flavor", each example had a variation or two. I bet Pops will share info/pics of the body when he picks the winning combination

It's those 2 in the outer shell we're interested in.
Correct, the outer or "valence" electrons as us EE geeks refer to them are the key..the less there are and weaker the bond, the better it is as a conductive atom. However, I personally would not care if the magnets were made out of tin..I just know this bass is going to be a masterpiece and have tone out the snizzass.
My biggest decision is HSS or SSS?....guess I might need both, funds permitting.
