You know Colin the economy is pretty soft especially internationally..so these new models have kept us doing just fine. WE still have room to grow but I have controlled the growth for the last 25 years as making pretty much high end stuff is a volitile situation. Ive tried to keep the highs in check and the lows not so visible.

I told BP the other day that in spite of my Bongo Problem, I really am generally a traditionalist. I mean, look at me. I like single humbucker models. I don't have an iPod. I like BIG TUNING KEYS!

But yeah, me, too - that tuning key design made me think, "But OF COURSE." I really think it looks great and it's going to open up the balance issues.

And the design for the 25th has me salivating.

Some Japanese manufacturer starting with Y has a white guitar model which has cylindrical tuning keys, but the equivalent bass model is passive and has normal tuning keys  this four winged design seems better suited for bass. You're gonna need some king of wing to have have torque on the tuner and not need much finger pressure.

I agree..Traditionalist all the way as well. I love MM basses but still haven't really accepted the Bongo design yet. I'm still kinda stuck in the SR phase. Straight, simple 4 banger, with a single H is really all I need. But this new bass design really has me fire up too.

I'm thinking the 5vers will be really cool looking with the smaller headstock.

I can't wait to see more.

if you ever tried the gary willis signature bass you would know it is a good idea!
(even though that one only has three blades on the tuners)

Do we yet know what kind of magnets will be used?

Optional? I doubt. Too difficult to do.

A mixture? Possibly. It would provide more tonal range with just the one bass, although the coil position affects the tone so much there is probably no point.

Realisticly, my bet's on alnico.

Awesome news on the Sterling neck profile and Bongo preamp!

I sure hope the road show comes to Seattle, I don't know whether to order the SSS, HSS, or HH!
