by the way - does anyone know why ernie ball doesn't make a SR with a translucent black finish? i always thought black was one of the most common colors.

Mahogany. And according to the distributor they are available in Germany and Austria only. So... no overseas shipping

I guess I'll have to do an extensive christmas shopping trip to Germany...

About perfect if you ask me..Stingray..Single H..Hog Body..Ebony Board..Matching headstock..Put a birdseye maple neck on it instead of the select maple and the bass WOULD be perfect..

How many basses need to be ordered for a special run? Inagine what an unlined fretless would look like...WOW.
