Can you people explain to me why my AL's are getting no love? My BFR Luke is stealing all the attention! Seriously, since I got it a few months ago Ive done every gig with it, I just cant put it down, after playing an AL or Silo Special you pick up the Luke and its like your hands have gone to heaven, the soft V neck just fits so well, and I just love the overall small compact nature of the Luke body. Maybe I prefer the passive single coil tones but once you dial in the sound its easy to love the EMG's.

I think I really do need to order a rosewood Luke, question is, what colour? Ice Blue, White, Olive Gold, Orange Firemist??? Orange would be sweet I think.

I fully agree Rob...the Luke is so well balanced..just a super comfortable guitar to play.

I would choose between either Ice Blue or the Orange...I'm always drawn to those two color choices. I think overall I would go Ice Blue...and then kick myself for not getting the Orange Firemist when I saw pics of someone elses. haha

What is your favorite pickup position on the Luke?

I hear you Rob,
I've had to resort to casing my Luke, and keeping my AL's in plain sight, so they're go to guitars because they're nearest.

The Luke is an AMAZING guitar, at the UK bash I got loads of comments of - I can't get use to the neck - and I agree it takes a little getting used to and I certainly adapted how I grip the neck.

The Luke is one of the best kept secrets - I'm very keen to get another - and maybe even to an AB test with a BFR one.

I've been seriously looking at Lukes lately.

I also noticed the AL love fading a bit since you got the BFR Luke Rob. ;)

You want us to explain why your AL's are getting no love?
Well my LEAL always took a "back seat" to my BCB - I picked it up a couple of months ago now I play the LEAL all the time.
I can only imagine that you have been "tempted by the fruit of another" and play the Luke as your new "flavour".

Great looking guitar the Luke - great sound - just can't get on with the neck and I've tried to get to like it a few times.

Cast off AL's can be sent my way !!

Rob, AL's are awesome, but I think Lukes are with those EMG's are just an awesome all around guitar.

I'm still in the process of putting the Luke EMG's in a Silo Special. I'll let you know if it has the same vibe once I'm finished. I'm in the process of making the pick guard and well I broke my elbow roller blading with the kids, so I'm down and out for the next 5-6 weeks.

Wow Rob.. your feeling about LUKE is reminding me of the feeling i had when i start to think that LUKE is my final destination hahahha.. mainly because it suits my hand the best, compared with other guitar.. that's why i decided to have one with floyd, one with piezo, and one with that mahogany block.. am i going to stop somewhere?because i heard there is one full mahogany body-koa top LUKE came out..

btw, i am not so updated with the news about luke lately.. what is that about "rosewoood" luke? is it a new model?

To clear up space in my room I cased/closeted all my guitars except for my 2 Lukes. When I record I'll take out any others I might need, but those 2 Lukes are my favorite go-to guitars...I love them!

Yah man, you'd need to find a sort of trashed one and do it, I got my Luke pups on EvilBay for like $200 US. Then you just need to get a pick guard either made or modified. :)

Think of it a hardtailed Luke in an AL body man, best of all worlds!!!!

Rob, I've been thinking long and hard about this question and I think I've come up with an answer for you. I volunteer to "take a hit for the team" send your Luke up to me in Brissy and I'll look after it for you for a while. That way you wont be tempted to play it over the Al's. Out of sight out of mind, you know how it goes. I know it's a big sacrifice but I'm willing to do it for you, that's just the kind of guy I am, we Aussie's have to stick together :)

Rob, I think Simon has exactly the right idea...you need support. We are here for you. I too am happy to vounteer to make the big sacrifice of taking that distracting and annoyingly comfortable-to-play BFR Luke off your hands for a while. And I can offer a free delivery service (I can be there to collect it in 40 minutes)...cheaper than freight to Brisbane! ;-)

On the other hand...if the ALs and Silos are getting no love, you can always store them at my place! Bec and I will ensure they all get the attention they deserve! ;-)
