Some guy over here wants me to trade my p bass + a bit of cash for:

Bongo 4HH in Graphite pearl. Classic Bongo, excellent deal. I know it's not an H like I wanted, but I think an HH will give me some verrrrry nice sounds to play with.

yeah man...that is cool. Graphite pearl is a nice color as well. Thanks for the specs...lol...as you know all the knuckleheads want to know. It is almost like "we" are getting something new even though we are not.

I know what ou mean, I think that when one of us gets a new bass, the 'forum collective' that we all own is greater and therefore we all have something new. It also makes me insanely jealous.

I'm just trying to seal the deal as we speak, I can only hope for a positive reply!

Sealed the deal, P bass + £300 and I'll get it after christmas. I was in london today and played a bongo in a music shop.

It made me so happy.

We're gonna have to wait for the bongo before the bongo head. I would quite like to do a stingray head though...

Anyways, the fact that the P bass is not going to be around any more has got me slightly worried. Maybe this is that 'separation anxiety' BP was talking about, but I'm just hoping that old skool funk tones can be acheived from my bongo. I'm sure they can, and I feel like one of those people who asks those questions ('how do I get my H bongo to sound like a Jazz?'), but is it possible to get the HH to sound near enough a P?

When I play them I always do incredible slap sounds or sweet sweet bridge pickup finger funk. I kinda neglected that PHAT neck pickup.

Either way, can't bloody wait!
