As most of you know I traded my 2007 PRS single cut for an Ernie Ball Silhouette. And the one they had has a crack in the neck joint (just a finish flaw) but damn it I want perfection! SO they are ordering me a new one from EBMM! But its gonna take till April or March But I get to keep this one that has a rosewood fretboard till then ! I told them I wanted the same thing but with a white pickguard instead of a black one. They said "ok" . Then I left and on my way to work I got to thinking...... A pearloid pick guard would look better than white so I called him up and said "hey man I want pearl not white". He say ok Ill change it. Then just the other day I was texting back and forth with a friend of mine and was complaining about how he wants a maple fretboard on his next guitar..... So I got to thinkin................ Hey, why can't I have a maple fretboard too? I like that "snappy" sexy tone too! Plus I already got rosewood on my American Deluxe Ash Stratocaster So I called up Guitar Center and said "Hey man. I want maple not rosewood." He says well we already placed the order last week...... So I say "but hey man I REALLY want maple!" So he says let me call you back........... So about 10 minutes later he calls me and says "you gettin maple.
Now I gotta wait till April.
