Silos with Floyds, unite!!

Hi everybody! This is my first "real" post (besides a couple of them in the "wanted" thread).

I've had a Silhouette with a Floyd for the past year, and it is THE guitar for me. I have 17 electric guitars, including Suhrs, Gibsons, Fenders, etc... and although they are all great instruments, I just bonded with the Silo from minute one, that was IT for me.

I know "Floyd Rose" was a taboo word for a few years, but now there seems to be a resurgence: the new Suhr Moderns, the new Charvels...

So here's my question / request: are there any plans to bring back the Floyd Silhouette? Would anybody be interested? I know a guy that would get at least a couple of 'em... :D

Love my Silo with floyd rose, guitar itself it's great but the FR trem really make this guitar even better to me.

Also the teal color is so gorgeous...:D

To be honest I would also LOVE to see the Floyd Rose option on a Silo again. I know they come up on ebay and such, but I would definitely get a new one if it was an option. I truly do love the vintage trem, and it stays in tune amazingly well...but a floating floyd will give a greater range and especially for Satriani stuff which I have been playing a lot lately.

How about everyone that DOES have a Silo with Floyd post your pics here :D.

the Floyd does have a different sound but for me they are a pain in the a## to change strings on. If you gig alot you'll understand my frustration...

The black one is my college graduation gift from my mom and started life as a hardtail. It spent time with a fantastic person (my guitar teacher) who has since died. While it was with him it was stolen and then showed up on eBay where forum members brought it to my attention and I got to buy it back from a pawn shop. I bought the EMG's before I bought the guitar and also it has a Steve Morse bridge selector pup switch. It is popular and the cleanest, prettiest sounding guitar I own. Also this is the only Lowers pitch only SiLO Floyd I know of.

The green monster rocks like none other. It had the EMG's in it when I bought it used off eBay. This was a performers guitar and had lots of miles on it. When I got it I re wired it, had the first 5 frets replaced, Steel wooled the neck for days, re-oiled and waxed the neck, took the body to a local luthier's finish shop and had the body buffed, changed out the pickguard, reduced the bridge to nuts and bolts cleaned it. One bridge saddle had to be replaced as it seized and broke. (Old EBMM FR bridge saddles (and the EVHs) are not like the new ones (and no longer available) so it had to have some mill work done on it) Then I spent all night reassembling and setting the intonation.
Oh BTW this guitar is ash and rocks like none other. For a rock guitar this is the best sounding guitar I own.

Niiiice. That would be the body of my dream guitar (ash sunburst), with a maple neck and white pickguard, HSS pickup configuration.

Thanks everybody for your responses and opinions. Maybe if enough people show interest we could get them to bring them back... even if it's just a limited edition type of thing...

I thought I liked Floyds, then I bought a Petrucci. Now I wouldn't dare ask for a Floyd on my Silo. Nice guitars, though! :)

I'm in! I know floyds can be a pain to change strings on, compared to a hard-tail but I've been doing it so long I can completely re-string it, have in tune and be playing again in 20 minutes. It's auto-pilot now. Although, I've been gassing for a hard-tail Silo for a long time now.
