Great thank you for your answer. Very kind. Interesting gadget, indeed. I´ll contact the manufacturer and ask a few questions. Again, thank you for your answer.

Sincerely//Jan

If you could let us in on what you find out, that would be very nice! I'm interested as well...

Will do, sire. I´ve asked for a quote on 5..... This gadget is just right up my alley. Will fit it on two 5-string and three 4-string fretted/fretless Stingrays with roundwound/flats. Will most likely drill and screw them on permanently. LOVE muted strings quite often. At least 5 or 6 times per day.

Won´t put a Bassmute on the trans black 20th. Promise.....

Will also put d-tuners on a couple of more 4-string Stingrays too.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with the screws. If you are putting new ones on basses with flat tops, the adhesive will be plenty.

It really is nice being able to balance the mute for each string individually.

And, strummer--I knew you were just goofing around. Sorry if I came off a bit pissy in my response. I was just writing in a hurry before the tree guy showed up to give me an estimate on some landscaping.

Here's a picture of my Sterling with the Bassmute. To answer your question Hellboy, it is very solid and I couldn't imagine it breaking because its design is simple. I have no drawbacks with it. It helps capture an oldschool tone well.

That even looks kinda old school!!
