Here's a recording of our Pink Floyd tribute band from last Friday night with my Zoom H2 mp3 recorder. We finally found a singer who can do the job, so it's onward and upward from here. This was our first rehearsal with him on board as singer and guitarist.

The bass on this recording is my '83 Stingray wearing acme flats, into a Markbass LMII and a pair of SWR Goliath Jr 2x10 cabs.

The recording has a few spots where the signal was too much for the H2 (I had it located too close to the PA speaker), so it clips a few times during vocal/keyboard peaks - sorry about that.

I hope any Floyd fans here will enjoy it ;)

That was very good Mark, not a bad rendition of the original if only a tad too fast... having always only listened to the PF original, the speed in your version is the only thing that stood out in comparison to the original. Well done.

Way cool, Mark. Your keyboard player is fantastic. Wow! Oh, and you're not too bad either. ;)

Yes, the keys guy is definitely a great player. I've got the easy job compared to him on this material. Floyd bass lines are not very complicated, it's more a matter of finding the feel and timing. I'm really happy with the sound we're getting overall. We're bringing a female vocalist along next week to see how female backing vocals will enhance a number of the songs and pretty things up a little.

Yes, we do need to control the adrenaline and slow a number of the songs down a touch.
