It's not honeyburst, but I bought a cherryburst Sterling from the Dubaldos, the MHS looks great.

Thanks for the picture, I photochopped it to make it look honeyburst but im still not convinced.. I really wish I could find another picture of the honey burst/black/rosewood/matching.. I KNOW I like non matching but I haven't seen a good picture of honeyburst with matching.. I don't know what to do and Im ready to order NOW!!!

Well... good you came that far :)

To me it is like this:
I like maple without matching headstock
I like rosewood with matching headstock
I don't like burst colour headstocks

However, there are those odd combinations where my rules don't even apply to myself...

hey psychoward why is that picture backwards! ha ha ! i have both, i think that my rosewoods sounds a litle more growly, not as much high end but the maples have more bite to them and cut thru more with a live band, also they look better especially the birdseye ones i have

midwest..weather change central!
IMHO... rosewood has a more "organic" feel and sound, and i also feel that a rosewood neck will remain more stable throughout it's life, due to disimilar woods and expansion and contraction etc.. also it's easier to replace the frets in rosewood necks ( when needed)..so if you plan to keep the bass " forever"..rosewood!

but i gotta admit, black basses with maple boards are yummy!
