oli,

You’re giving away all my secrets! ... You guys keep talking about what you want so I know what to order!

MK,

All good points… maybe I’ll drop an order in midyear… I’ve got to pay for the BIG AL first… plus, who knows, it may be my new favorite EBMM bass!

Oddjob,

I absolutely am in love with it! It has been the one and only bass I’ve brought to at least 95% of the gigs that I have had since I purchased it, which says allot. Before I owned the Bongo I was a hard core P-Bass fan and you couldn’t convince me otherwise. The Bongo has rekindled my love for Music Man bass. (I still have a SR5 that I wouldn’t put down before the P-Bass phase.) Plus, I have sold many more Bongo’s since I have been an owner/advocate for the bass.

I actually just finished tracking a few sound clips for our website with it. They will be part of a “product info” podcast that we will release soon on the Bongo bass.

**Sorry about the hijack Rob.

I wonder what you'll come up with next... ;)

Funny thing is, I already know. =)

PS: About that skipped 4 month wait time... haven't you been talking about getting a silver Bongo for much longer? I think Brandt just did read your posts...

You're absolutely right that I've had my eye on this for some time - ever since Sterling Silver became available, basically. And even before it became available, I shamelessly begged for it to be made availablle upon first seeing the Myung proto. And you may be right about the other part too. Brandt may have seen this coming. :)

A few months ago, I actually tried to convince Rex to trade his Sterling Silver Bongo 4H for my Stealth Bongo 4HH. Nothin doin, and of course I didn't blame him. I was already in the throes of GAS for one of these when Rex posted the pics of his ... that just made it worse.

Well, I waited a little while so I wouldn't be too "over the top" in my description. I got the text from my wife at 10:30AM saying it had arrived, and couldn't wait to get home for a long lunch ... a "nooner" with my new Bongo.

Simply put, I'm home. Though I expected greatness, I couldn't have anticipated what I heard, even after having a few Bongo HH's (a 4 and a 5), because guess what - I'd never played a single H Bongo. The single H, the Big Poppa Bongo, totally exceeded my already high expectations. What a freakin monster. Though it's a narrow description, considering all the other unique Bongo characteristics, it's definitely in part (and I know some hate the phrase) like a Stingray on ...

performance enhancers. ;)

Best sounding bass I've ever played, in all honesty. This thing is enchanted. Does the phrase "Elf-craft" mean anything to you people? Not talkin Santa's elves; talkin Eldar ... Firstborn. (yeah, Tolkien nerd alert, here). :)

I've posted the TPB pics in this thread, but I'll post some of my own soon.
