I picked up my BFR AL today from Melhart's my local music store and oh man you should of seen my reaction when i opened the case, but i'm sure all of you have the same reaction when you see these pieces of art. I was kind of skeptical about ordering the flame top i wanted to go with the quilt but i have always liked flame tops better, but now that i think about it i don't even care anymore the top is tight on this guitar and i looks even sweeter in person. Well anyways i rushed out of work as soon as i recieved the call and all i was thinking on the 45 min drive to the store was how it was going to feel and sound and let me tell you i was completly blown away. I plugged it in an Orange rocketverb50 combo they had, and it sounded so awesome i almost had to change my pants if you catch my drift. I will post some real pictures as soon as i get chance, and also give you guys sound report after i play it for a couple of hours, but for now my guitar is in the Official Ball family reserve picture thread as # 965 and here are the pics on the thread.

When I first joined the forum, I thought the AL was the most ridiculous looking guitar I had ever seen. Then I finally played one...... ;)

Thank you all for the kind words:)...To tell you the truth i'm completly stoked with this guitar i don't know why i didn't get one sooner...It has meet all my expections the sound is so sparkly that no strat i have ever owned or played will come close to it....The body and the neck fits me like a glove, and feel like never putting it down and play the other guitars i own. I have become an Albert Lee convert and now know why my fellow Al players love them so much....I'm already planning my next order and i will say that it will be another Al with the MM90 pickups, hardtail and with a piezo all i need to figure out is the color:confused:.

Thats easy, copy me, AL MM-90 peizo, hardtail, trans orange, orange swril pickguard, killer guitar no matter what color you get and again congrats on the BFR, it is what makes you want another:cool:
