I was checking out stuff on youtube and found this old video of Heavy Horses. I've seen it before, but didn't really take note that the bass player is playing an old Stingray. I believe he is John Glascock (RIP).

(Sorry but the sound is kind of crappy.)

excellent!

Wow, great finding man!

I am curious about the white pickup, I believe in those days the pickups on pre EB MM's were only offered in black, perhaps Rod Trussbroken might be able to shed some light although I very much doubt that was the original p/up.

Still great finding of a illustrious band I grew up listening to as a kiddie.

Ha ha ha!!! Fingerless gloves and a cigarett. Cool, he is. The fabulous John Glascock on bass. Fantastic bass-player. Died shortly after Heavy Horses was done unfortunately. He and drummer Barrymore Barlow played very well together. My favourite Tull line-up, indeed. Glascock made most of his clothes himself. :)

Some factory white pickup covers existed back then.

What a strange and wonderful band. I saw them once in Vancouver around 1989. It was a fantastic show with the who;e stage set up like a bar. The keyboard player was the bartender and roadies and crew members would actually come at sit at the bar and be served draft beer by the keyboard player while the band played. Very cool idea.
