hey guys im probably a latecomer when it comes to the idea of oiling/lubing your fretboard but this stuff is amazing. i used a product called Lemoil for the first time today on my Sub 1 and im shocked at the change, the fretboard is a dark rich colour and it plays like a dream. so glad i lubed my balls

Wonderwipes destroys lemoil.

I used lem for years and thought it was tops, then i tried wonderwipes and loved them.

I ran out of wipes just the otherday, had some spare lemoil so i thought i'd give it another crack... stange man, no comparison to wonderwipes.

If they're oil finished, yes. I'm not sure if the BFR's are finished in oil or poly. It'll do nothing on poly but make a slick mess.

I've come to love and rely on WW for my Silo necks, front and back, rosewood or maple. They've practically eliminated the need to reapply Tru-Oil to the maple. They clean as well as condition. Great stuff. My jar of 100% pure cold pressed lemon oil gathers dust.

Wonder wipes are better than any other product out there, they're cheap, they come in a size that fits in your case, and I'd use 'em even if I didn't have EBMM guitars.

Isnt the back of the necks on EBMM Jps waxed ? Atleast thats what it felt like.. I remember seeing a vdo where the EBMM guy shows how to take care of the neck.. Grit Paper + WW i believe..

The BFR necks on the JP are poly finished. They are mahogany and need a finish on them to maintain their stability. So you don't need to use any lemon oil or Wonder Wipes on the back of the neck.

The standard JP's are maple necks with rosewood fretboards. Wonder Wipes will work very well on them.

I do the same thing as you Candid.

I don't think that technology has been perfected yet. It's the same way with clorox wipes, they always get caught and bunched up.
