Hi guys,

It's been a long time since I logged onto the forum... Been busy at work and stuff...

I'm getting a SS any time soon, and the Ice Blue color caught my eye on the MM site... Any full frontal of it?

And anyone has a maple neck version?

Thanks!

Brasco: the JP is beautiful! It looks really nice with that color...

Luc: erm... It looks alittle green? Maybe the lighting?

Foogy: Love the rosewood board with the blue pearloid pickguard! Can you do one with maple neck and keep the blue pearloid pickguard? Thanks!

Matching headstock would be sweet, like on this Stingray.

Foggy: I can wait!

Slingy: That's nice!

Anyways, Can I choose the color of the pickups? I really like the blue pearloid with white pickups... Very classy... I just don't know why I'm so attracted to this color... Was always thinking about getting a white on white SS eventually... But when I saw this color, it looks almost like a giant sweet, in a good way...

Always wanted one, bro...

Just didn't know what options to get!

What do you think of my choice?

Love the Ice Blue... But the blue pearloid to me would be too much blue. I'd go Ice Blue, and vintage pearloid.

But... why maple? Troublesome to keep clean... Heh...

Dunno...

Maple seems to suite the whole light-colored scheme of the guitar...
Although the rosewood board still looks stunning with ice blue...

Can I choose black/white pickup covers?

Short answer: no. I think. It depends on the pickguard you choose. nDark colours come with black. Light colours come with white. But why Vintage Pearloid comes with black, I have no idea. Maybe BP is a closet Blackmore fan?:D

For me, the necks should have contrasts. dark bodies with maple necks, light bodies with RW. Then I got a Candy Red SS, with a RW, and it looks fine. So I guess it's up to you in the end.

Whitey: now you've said it... I agree! The contrast seems to bring out the guitar more!

But would like to see foggy's PS-ed one first before making my decision...

The Ice Blue looks really cool on the JP too!
