Just to clear that up, You have to play Satriani to get INTO the GIT? That seems a rather high expectation - I mean, "Summer Song" is not the hardest ever Satriani thing, but it is a VERY good piece of work to play that convincingly!

Good work. I would never remember all the notes I had to play for a piece like that and I've listened to his stuff for years...heaven knows how Satch does it in a 3 hr concert!

No, I'm sure that this isn't necessary to get accepted, but I'm trying for the talent based scholarship also, and there are only a handful of them.

And as far as playing "Hot Wired" on a ball, i suppose i could borrow an AL from work =)
