Last night I played my EVH through my Mesa at a local Jam night.

Whilst playing, I was in the "Tone Sweet Zone" and a few people there commented on how good the guitar soundeed (pity about the playing ;)).

Anyway "some guy" at the bar made some nice comments - later on I discovered that it was "Van the Man's" musical director.

You know how much I love my AL's - but the EVH really sang. I used a cheap Behringer Bluesdriver and backed the volume knob off.

Ya know what - I love my JP6 too! I'm blessed with some very nice balls lol!

My Les Paul just does not get a look in!!!

I can see why all the good looking girls go for ya!! - flattery gets you everywhere!!

another thing was that when other guitarists got on stage they ignored the Fender combo and went straight for the Mesa - one guy who used an old gibby through it, stayed back after and asked me about the Mesa F50 - he was very impressed!
Yeah I said - you oughta here it when the volume is turned up and it pumps through a 4 x 12 !!!!

I can only imagine the torque that the Mesa/EVH combo can generate...stand back!

Too true Travs too true!

You Mesa fans will prolly understand the following ...

I'd set up my Clean and Lead channel but could not get the footswitch to kick in the "contour" - now that would have blown the cobwebs away !
- I gotta fathom that one out on the weekend - it will work when manually switched just not through the pedal. - I'll run a continuity test on the pins that make up the lead to the pedal switch.
Anyway .. back to talking balls!!

does this mean you're playing Moondance and Brown Eye Girl on the EVH now? ;)

Oh.....I'm putting together some EVH backing to Moondance in my head after you mentioned that. I love doing songs on the wrong guitar with the wrong tone. Sometimes comes out really cool.
