Do you play with a plectrum, do you slap or play with your fingertips?

You can vote on all 3 options as it applies to you

I'm patatoes & potatoes. Mostly fingers (not the right pinkie), some pick (felt courtsey of JohnnyBoy, thick rubber ones i found at LIMS and normal EB ones in all thicknesses) and then I slap at home with Ed Friedlands DVD because I suck big time.

Edit: And this was post #3000, what a great way to cross that line! I'm proud of myself, having answered an on-line poll without actually checking any boxes:)

There were boxes to check?

I play with my fingertips (well, I try), but somehow I can far better hold a consistent tempo with a pick. But hey, that's probably because I'm a newbie... ;)

I use all three, but I use a pick so little now that I considered not even checking the box. Fingers more then anything else though.

well, it depends.

when im playing "for real" I use a pick and play very aggressive and fast.

At home, when Im just hanging out and practicing i usually dont use a pick and play fingerstyle & slap stuff

so i guess "all of the above"

I play finger style mostly though I also play with a pick when called for. I've yet to learn any slap technique as I haven't yet had a need for it.

90% fingertips, 10% slap.
My band plays progressive music and our songs are 10 minutes long average... :p So I try to incorporate different techniques to go through a lot of moods. I'd like to learn using the pick but, even on guitar, I feel quite deficient not using my fingers.
