Hi i have been telt that schaller m6-ind locking tuners will fit onto the sub1,but want i want to know please is will they pop straight in without any drilling or any mods to the guitar as i dont want to deface the guitar in any way,many thanks:)

maybe this helps (here)

I've done this on my old Morse and Albert Lee.

The locking Schaller tuners are close. They'll fit, but you'll need to drill little pilot holes in the back of the headstock for the screws that hold them in place. The old holes will mostly be hidden by the new tuners, but you'll be able to see them on an angle. You can see what I mean here:

BTW, you can buy the new tuners directly from EBMM.

I put the Schallers on my SUB. You have to drill small holes, but the way the standard tuners are fitted on the SUB, you will not see any other holes, it will look like they have been there forever.

Luc - the Schaller lockers look great on your Sub1. I'm going to have to get a set. :)

Since I experiment alot, I like the fact that with lockers you can take the strings off and put them back on quickly and easily. :cool:

yes they look great and its good news u cant see any holes there,from ernie balls uk distributor the schallers are £10 each or the sub1 lockers at £8 but there would be a 6-8wk waut for the sub ones,thanks:)
