Well, after trying unsuccessfully to take better pics of the black Bongo, I snapped a family pic of my basses hangin on the livingroom wall.
And yes I am very proud of these fantastic instruments, very special all of them:)

The favorite? Why The Envy green of course:cool:

Wow, great family and pic. Flats I see?

Each one of those basses is a special run of some variety, very cool!

Great looking family, Magnus.

Can't wait until my rosewood Bongo gets here so I can share my Bongo family pictures as well.

Nice pic of nice basses!

For the first time it becomes obvious to me that the Bongo's body is actually larger than that of the SR5. Interesting!

Your only single H shouldn't be the SR5. You have yet to experience the best bongo. LOL jk not really but you know me.

As fine a collection of Bongo bling as I've seen since, well, yesterday ;)

I have to say it's the blue dawn one that moves me the most.

As I've been out of the loop and live on a small island in a remote corner of the planet can you explain to me please the significance of flats on a Bongo? And would the ultimate expression of Bongo-ness therefore be flats on a single H Bongo???

Mostly it's a Bovinehost/Tkarter/Aussie mark thing, I think those 3 are largely responsible for the fact that a lot of ppl give flats a try. And I must say that there are times when flats on a bongo just own:)
But rounds are my go-to strings, so there will just be the one Bongo wearing flats, the KS Blue Dawn.
