I just wanted to know if you could provide me some more information the following Axis Sport : G00202

I bought her (by ebay) to a brooklyn's shop, but the plate (and tuners) were slightly unscrewed. And the guitar seems to be one of the arlier axis sport, with pickguard, a humbucker and two single coils. I just want to be sure that she got the right neckplate (and serial), and to know the name of that strange beautiful green that becomes blue thru a camera.
Thanx

G07643 is TransOrange, year?

Scott, interesting, our records tell us that this guitar is supposed to have a Trans Orange finish ... but anything is possible since it looks like it went directly to an artist or may also have been used for a fundraiser ....

I would start by using lemon oil on the neck, it is probably just super dried-out. You may want to think about re-applying the factory gunstock oil and wax treatment .

You are right it is TransOrange, my mistake.
What year? G07643
Also any gunstock oil or a certain brand?

Dan,

I am, well, let's just say "pleased," to have received my penultimate guitar acquisition in the mail today! I believe you mentioned NAMM when I called about it before, but could you give me more info on G42857?

I had to put it back in the case because my eyes were melting... and I'm at work.

Thanks!

Yes, this was one we had at this year's NAMM show, I am pretty sure. It was completed on 12/31/08. If it is the one I remember, the top was crushing.

The top is amazing and the neck has a ton of subtle birdseye and speckling. There's some pretty cool stuff going on in the ash on the back too. It is a stunning instrument!

Thanks for crafting such an awesome guitar! :D

Scott, this was built on 10/04/99. As far as gustock oil, there is but one brand we recommend .. Birchwood-Casey Tru-Oil and Gunstock Wax. You can order them here if you like: Welcome to Birchwood-Casey

We have tried other brands but nothing else is near as good for guitar necks, in my opinion ....

Hi,

I'd like some info on L99243, it is for sale and I'd like to find out what year it was made. The neck plate seems to have an engraving above the usual logo.

Thanks.

Hi Dan,

thanks a lot for your fast answer.
Honestly,a very beautiful guitar....specially the combination of black corpus and golden hardware is extraordinary.A very noble and valuable outfit!
And,of course, great sound (specially the piezo :) )

Thanks again, and keep on building such fantastic guitars

Sure, it was built on 05/04/00. It shows as a Axis SuperSport HH, standard bridge, maple board, matching headstock, originally was sent to Drum City GuitarLand.

Dan
Thanks for the info it all seems correct.

Sorry to bother you again, any idea what the engraving above the logo on the neck plate might be ? It almost looks like a phone number. The guitar is a lefty.

Thanks again
