JP 6 Questions! New to the Forum!

Hello i am New here and i got bought a lovely EBMM JP6 loaded in white and it is amazing i couldn't be happier!

I have a couple of questions but..

i noticed that when i plug my lead into the mono without a battery there is no signal even if i have the magnetics completely on. So does this mean that it's best to run it in the stereo out when not using the piezo???

And

With my trem arm is there some way for me to tighten it up so it spins less easy? it seem to be alittle too loose for my liking??i hate it when it moves around when i play!!!!

BTW this forum is pretty ddarn cool! And i am loving the MM ALOT! it's the best guitar have played! i own alot of ibanez's gibsons fender's so on but this one feels So right!!

Hi Shep - welcome to the forum.
It's ok - your guitar doesn't have a problem when you plug the lead into the mono/piezo socket, and there is no battery, you will not get any sound from the mags or the piezo.
Plug the lead into the other socket (magnetic stereo) and the magnetics will still work - as they are passive pickups they don't need a battery. The cool thing then is that you can use the piezo switch on the top horn as a "kill switch".

There is a great photo on the forum which shows you the screw you need to adjust to vary the "swing" on ya trem arm - I'll hunt the oicture down and edit it in.
Talking of pictures - as a newb you just gotta realise that ya guitar doesn't exist without pics - it's kind of an unwritten law around these parts

Yeah, I'm going to have to second and third that gear envy. That is quite a set up.

You can never go wrong with a white or black axe and your JP is looking gorgeous!

This is the thing that brings a lot of us here together. EBMM have one point of sale. Just play it. It's game over from there.

I am a recent convert, from the Les Paul and PRS Singlecut cult following. I picked up a Silo a few years ago, got intrigued then found that Mr. John Petrucci has a signature model, and had to try it. Hooked. Mine will be coming in soon.

Then you find out that there's models around Steve Morse, Steve Lukather, and Albert Lee and suddenly you realize you've found a great product!

hey Thanks the mesa's are my favorite!!!! but i am starting to really love this guitar. I have Ibanez's and fenders and gibsons but this one is amazing. what a wonderful guitar. i am thinking i will get another one soonish!Thinking one without a piezio to hear if there is a difference with that little bit extra wood in the body. maybe a JP BFR they look gorgeous.
