No other company has come out with the number of new models in the last five years in the history of our industry and its still not enough or in the right order....

Nah BP, its just we're all junkies and we're absolutely insatiable. Speaking for myself, I admire EB for everything you guys do, the 2 big ones just make the same guitars and then reissue them and anything they do release is often a failure. It may sound silly but for a guitar company to make everything - from strings to pedals to tuition books all the way to guitars themselves - and be what I consider to be the best at everything - that certainly makes me insatiable especially as a dealer because all I want is quality gear to sell and it seems anything with EB on it - you know is quality. I personally play a EBMM Luke over any other guitar with EB strap locks and a red inked strap, I use an EB Wah, can't get away with anything else but Regular or Super Slinkys and if you guys made a coffin shaped like a EBMM case, I'd probably order one!

Anyway
Nuff Said

THATS WHY I'M A JUNKIE!

Lionel

we can never do enough. we are just finishing up about 25 new models and no good deed goes unpunished

BTW I have emoticons especially negative ones. THe Silhouette special is one of the slowest sellers and has not had a bfr yet....

Wow I would have never thought that. I love my Silo Sp. I too have been asking if there was a BFR Silo Sp, in the works since the BFR line started. Tone block, birds eye maple Neck etc. But I undertand that business is business and you have to do what to must to STAY in business.
One quick observation, not criticism, but opinion, or may be more like a question. Would it be tremendously difficult or couter productive to offer not only SSS and HSS pick up configurations but alo HSH and HH. I would think that would make even the Standard Silo Sp. more appealing and versatile.
I was looking to hopefully purchase another Silo Sp an route it for HH and make it my Metal Guitar, but just the thought of digging in makes me very nervous.
Any way sorry to ramble, thank you for making the Silo Sp in the first place, I have yet to find anything else that for ME is any better.

We're like the old Dilbert cartoon. Except we use BP as Dilbert and we are the marketing group......

Us:..."BP....tell us every guitar you could possibly make and we'll tell you which ones to make"

BP:............

I do it myself....ooooh...I'd like this or that. But when I get back to reality, I look over to my left at my supersport in its stand and say...."no, that is what I want".

BP is right they come out with all sorts of great new stuff, so much since I have been around it makes my head spin:D

Rob nice SS rosewood by the way, the rosewood neck is awesome:cool:

Just sit back and think about it, go back to December 2006 when I joined and do a search on what has come about since, mind boggeling, I am sure if the timings right and market dictates a BFR SS wil come about, in the meantime get a 25th you wont be sorry you did:D

Also give the Gold Roller a shot, I still think this is the lost BFR, I know I am going too:)

The Silhouette special is one of the slowest sellers......

I was surprised to read this.
But then I thought there are basically 4-5 guitar models, and one of them will be labelled slow in comparison to the others.
I'd assume the Axis and Petrucci dominate.

Hmm... Right... Let me see what I can do about that.:D

You know BP, the oddest thing is, most who have seen my guitar have never laid eyes or hands on one before... Everytime they try it, they're taken aback by how comfortable the whole package of the Silo Spec is. For some reason, this model isn't really getting through to people. They know what a Silhouette is, but I'm always asked: "Why "Special"?". This shows low market penetration for the guitar.

As a brand manager myself, I'm always more excited about the underdog, as it's always mre fun to build than to sustain. I think a little fan publicity is needed... Will see what I can do for this.

I wish my dealer had the guts to bring in a couple to let their customers test them. I seem to be the only one who's ever ordered one from them ever...

Keith, having recently acquired a Les Paul Deluxe with mini humbuckers, I can definately see the appeal of the Gold Roller. The only reason why I personally don't own any Silhouettes (except the 20ths) is simply because I prefer 22 frets. That neck position tone is not going to sound the way I'd want it with a 24 fret neck. but of course, EBMM doesn't make guitars just for me.:p

I'm still eyeing an Axis or a Y2D. One day...:D

Im not picking on yo Lionel but I cannot please you junkies sometimes.

No worries BP... I was merely asking why of all the models done so far in the BFR range, you've almost covered everything except the Silo Spec. it wasn't a "YOU MUST RELEASE ONE" thread...

Of course, I'd love to see one, and you know I won't stop bugging you about this until you release one out eventually. heh... But I'm happy with my current Silo Specs enough to not totally desire a BFR SS as it's probably going to bankrupt me if you do let one out now.:D

remember I like watches.....

Hahaha... there goes my trump card... *sigh* I'm leaving the watch industry BP... Moving on to a larger company with a global scaled role... In aviation and food manufacturing... Heh...:D

But I'll always be here for advice on watches if you need some! You know that...
