It is here... it rocks... it matches one of my other Bongos

Seriously, I have thumped on it for about an hour and tried knocking some of my 5-string rust off. It sounds like... well, a Bongo. Setup was flawless. Sounds exactly how I thought it should. The color is very nice (Eggy said it best - Medalion Gold meets Desert Gold [where as Firemist is Desert Gold meets Lava Pearl]) and is a great compliment to my other Bongos (I will try for a family shot later in the week - these photos don't do either finish justice).

BP and EBMM crew, thanks for another great bass!

Brandt thanks for taking good care of me and the fast ship (ordered Monday at noon and was in my hands noon today).

They sound good through that but they rumble with my GK setup :D (the GK LOVES the low B)

Is that because your GK cab has 2 12's? Or do you think the amp has anything to do with it??

I ask because I played a Sterling 5 over the weekend and wasn't crazy with the low B sound through a single 15. It might be that I'm just used to more punch. Or it might be that real men only play 4 strings. :D Regardless, it didn't move me like I thought it would.

Great looking set up.......tbone

actually it is 4 12s :D - think it is a combo of everything. The headroom helps... the 12s help... the Bongo does the rest

True Gold looks nearly identical to Desert Gold in your picture. I'm glad I got my Medallion Gold Sterling 5 when I did. True Gold, while it's a great color, is not Gold enough for me. :p

It is all about lighting - some light you can't see any orange.

RaginRog, you hit it... Both are truly great - the GK moves more air on the low B so it is more a matter of opinion. Plus I have the GK settings nailed for the majority of rooms I play in.

I love how tight the Mark Bass is (my back loves the weight of it too). I am still wotking on getting it to boom without loosing the cut-thru ability. I am sure it will come as I use it out more and more.

It's nice because with both setups I can play almost anywhere around here without any problems and sound good.
