Hello everyone,

My name is Eno and I'm from Montenegro, ex Yugoslavia.
Finally I've saved some money for my first brand name bass guitar. That supposed to be Music Man Stingray 4hs.

My question is:

Why I can't find anything about this guitar on stingray website ? What is that model ? Why there is HS mark ? The only information is on this website:
MusicMan Stingray 4 HS Electric Bass*
Does somebody has that guitar, what can you tell me if you have it something.

Thanks in advance,
Eno.

P.S.I was searching forum, but I didn't find anything useful to me in this area.

There are three pickup configurations on the Stingray, Sterling and Bongo basses:
H (single humbucker)
HS (humbucker + single coil)
HH (2 humbuckers)

I've sent them e-mail, and nobody is answering.

On the website, I can not find anything for guitar Music Man Stingray 4 hs.

edit:

I've found the picture only, but the specifications has to be the same. How?I don' know...
This is the printscreen.Only in three colors is visible in whole website...

Plus the ability to add a piezo bridge.

Is the piezo only available on the H model?

hey eno, I'm a bit confused on what exactly you are asking for. Most likely due to the language barrier.

On this page, http://www.music-man.com/instruments/basses/stingray.html , is the spec's for the Stingray. It covers the H, HS and HH models, which are the pickup configurations available. You can get it in the colors and pickguards shown on the left. If you look on the right side of the page, there is a link for Diagrams and Schematics. That will download a zipped directory containing PDF files outlining the various controls and pickup selections.

If this isn't enough, care to take another attempt at trying to explain exactly what you are looking for?

There: Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Bass Guitar. That's the official StingRay page.

As already mentioned, it can be had with 4 different pickup configurations:
- H (one Humbucker)
- HS (Humbucker + Single Coil)
- HH (two Humbuckers)
- HP (Humbucker + Piezo bridge)

On standard production model, the body is made of ash, the neck of maple. They're available as fretted and fretless. On the fretted, the fretboard is either a maple or a rosewood. On the fretless the fretboard is pau ferro, and can be had lined and unlined.

What else do you want to know about the StingRay?
