I finally have finished all the mad science on my Morse. Thanks to Tommy for providing the wiring modification idea and the work itself. It was top-notch! One thing that I thought was a mistake was actually be design. Tommy had rewired the 2-position toggle to engage the bridge pickup in the "up" position instead of the "down" position. I thought he messed up. I should have known better. In talking to Beej, who gets thanks from me, for kind of "holding my hand" and being a comfort through this process, he enlightened me to Tommy's reasoning behind the switch modification.

Thanks to Pete for giving me the blue swirl pickguard. It gave the guitar the aesthetic "spice" I was looking for.

I wired everything up and installed the pickguard; using Loctite® on the screws so I couldn't mess with it anymore (JK)....

Here's a teaser pic. It was taken with my phone; so please excuse the poor quality. I'll post more tonight...

Even though I got this guitar for much the same reasons Steve had it designed, which was mucho versatility, I always felt like I was playing one of "his" guitars and not my own. This kind of makes it more my own....

i meant to explain that to you.forgot. i flip that switch around for most people (except steve's of course) so that down is off.that way it doest get accidetally turned on when playing rhythm.

Holy ****. You mean to tell me that you haven't changed the pickups out yet? I guess people CAN change. :)

Hehe, I guess I deserved that...

Yep, everything is still the same as it was when Tommy mailed me the newly loaded pickguard. Wait, I did change one thing...

When Tommy does a mod to a Morse guitar, he flips the on/off direction of the 2-position toggle. I just flipped it back to stock...

When I bought my Morse, the previous owner had relocated the 2-position switch completely, putting a little toggle switch between the volume and tone knobs. First thing I did was put the stock switch back in. It's always worked really well for me.
