Question Luke Wiring

Hey all,
New to MM and the forum. My new Luke is due in later this week and I was wondering cal someone tell me how the pickups are wired specifically for the 4th position of the selector switch. Is the humbucker dropped to a single coil and out of phase with the middle pup in the 4th selector position or is it something different. Thanks to all!

I just got my Luke last week, and I would guess that in the fourth position the humbucker stays wired in series and it is connected in parallel to the middle pickup.

I could be wrong, and if so hopefully someone will correct me.

I think you can't rewire an EMG pickup for parallel or split modes, it just has two wires for hot and ground and two for the battery power.

Full humbucker in parallel with the middle single. That 'bucker doesn't split.

If you want more of a quack in that position you have to replace the 'bucker with a splittable EMG, or you can wire in a resistor/cap that will give it more of a traditional sound.

I'll take the bucker with the single coil in the 4th slot. I'm not touching this beauty. It's staying stock. I believe it is the nicest feeling and sounding guitar I have ever played or will ever play. The couple of them that I demoed earlier this year were just smoking!

Basically you solder a 22k resistor and a .033 cap (in series) from the bucker to the 2nd position of the switch.

On the Luke wiring diagram, the hot lead from the bucker goes from the circuit board to the 2nd switch position, where it's jumpered to the 1st position (so it's connected in both positions). Instead, you'd need to wire the bucker right to position 1, and then remove the jumper. In it's place, wire the cap and resistor to position 2. Then you'll get less bass and reduced volume from the bucker when in position 2.

How can I do the same thing but only for the two single and never for the 85 humbucker?
