I'm liking the rosewood necks more and more. Hmmmm....rosewood neck with maple fingerboard??? Would'nt that be cool. (maybe I'm just wierd)

I asked the same thing once of another boutique builder, "Why does no one offer the reverse Maple/Rosewood combo?" I think the conclusion was that it's just that no one has done it. Gibby did have a LP with a Maple board and Mahogany neck that looked really cool.

I would love the Rosewood Neck/Maple Board combo because I love the feel of the Rosewood neck, but the Maple board just seems to work for me.

*edit* Just posting this has me drooling over a JP BFR in that style!!
