I would just like to extend my thanks to all the guys involved in organising the fantastic Knucklehead bash in London last night, particularly Pete and Andy and all the S&T staff, the Devil, Dave B, BP for making it all possible and all the wonderful artists that many of us were undoubtedly in awe of. Albert Lee, who despite not feeling to good was just awesome, Dario Cortese, Rob Harris and the Knuckleshufflers, Bushmans etc . It was so good to finally meet the likes of Smelly, Spud, Grand Wazoo, Tiffles, Mr and Mrs OLPlayer (Congratulations on winning that Beautiful ASS), Sean from Envy (I'm still working on Dean to buy that Koa JP ;^) and many others. The whole thing was just a great atmosphere. Dean , who came with me has undoubtedly become a convert to EBMM. He came to the show looking for something a bit special and has ended up taking my JP home to have a play after deciding that it's what he wants to get. I took a few photos over the evening and will put them up later when i've caught up with a bit of sleep.

Thanks again to the most caring company I have come across. Many other companies could learn a big lesson from EBMM / Strings and Things in how to treat their customers and potential customers. (One of these company owners was in attendance at last nights bash and missed the opportunity of a big sale yesterday afternoon as result of a very dismissive attitude on his trade stand. (As a result he has most likely lost out to Collings instead, who were very polite and attentive)

I'd like to add my thanks to Pete and al the crew from S&T as well, it was a fantastic evening. There were so many talented musicians, it was unbelievable and the great thing was the intamacy (ok, maybe a dubious choice of word) of the whole thing. All of the artists were incredibly friendly and approachable, it really made it fun.

It was cool meeting up with everyone, both new and past friends and I'm already looking forward to next year.

Thanks from me too. One of the most memorable and fun nights I've had in many a year!!!

The dude with the Epic Sideburns is Dave Marks - a fabulous bass player and musician!

Our Thanks.

Many thanks from Myself, Steve and Nathan to BP, Pete and all the S&T staff, the hard working Novotel staff and especially the many artists who performed for us or just hung about in our presence...... Marco Mendoza and Nicko McBrain didn't make the guest list so had to stay in the commoners bar, we did notice a certain Nick D'Virgillo slip in but forgave him as he reallly was superb on the main stage earlier in the day.

Many thanks to all who took the time to speak to us we really did enjoy everybody's company.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs OLP Player on their new arrival, we wondered who he slept with last night????:D

Looks like young Marco has set his dad a good spell of overtime, look dad you can't let the lad down:).

Special thanks to Pete who let me stroke his ferret before JimmyB got his hands on it.:p

Wonderful day, wonderful night, many thanks again.

If we are welcome again next year you can be sure we will attend.

First off - a really big thank you to Blind Lemon and all the staff at Strings n Things - they are all a great bunch of people - cheers guys.

I spent a bit of time with the Lemon and we both agree that we seem to have known each other for years - well he did live in South Wales and we both know some great musicians in Wales. I hope BL won't mind me saying this but he was drained after all the effort he put into this and I for one appreciate the hospitality provided by him and the company - Pete please pass on my thanks to everybody-especially your Director who bought me a drink too!

The lemon asked if I would give a hand about 2:30, back at the hotel, setting up for the evenings entertainment So I found myself in the company of the Jamiroquai bas player me and him went from the hotel back to the Excel with a shopping list - a bass for him a BFR Albert 25th for Mr Devil, stands etc etc.

(Man, that bass player was a real nice guy and he came over and thanked me this morning - brought a lump to my throat.)

So now it's around 3 pm, I was outside the hotel helping Daveb who was getting his truck and who should walk up ...

... but Albert all on his lonesome!!

I told him that the Lemon was around and about and we had a chat  Albert hadn't been feeling too good (don't forget he had appendicitis recently) - he was looking forward to getting back home (USA) for a bit of R & R

The evening was 8loody amazing!!

Jamiroquia guys played a storm, as did the Bushmen (once again - really nice guys and a good laugh - he's converted me to the Luke!!) Jamie Humphries, The Devil - I want to sell my soul to him.

Albert was awesome and played my favourite - T bird to Vegas.
There were so many Knuckleheads I met up with and I wish that I could have spent more time with the guys.

Tim O, Purple Ass, Greydad, Jimmyb (aka the Ferret) Lum - I want him as my bodyguard and hereby offer him the position in the ALOC;), Strummer
Smelly - we had a jig together - nice one mate,Dstocken, Colinboy - man that guy could make you smile in your darkest hour Mrs Colinboy - thank you for looking after my Guitar /camera, The Great Wazoo - (Really nice guy - even if he is a bassplayer lol! and BP, please be gentle on him 'cos I'm sure a lot gets lost in the "translation")
and his son infact so many people - I'm sorry if I haven't mentioned you.

The food was REALLY GOOD the venue was awesome the company and camarardrie was incredible. The night (and early morning - Jimib and me were "last men standing" at 5am)) was an experience that I won't forget - I think around 2 pm, Jimyb and others were trying on my AL -

Jimis a convert to the AL.

The guys were ribbing me saying "I wonder if the AL would float in the Thames?"

I hope everybody can make it if there is one next year especially if the Lemon rides into the Sunset.

I'm knack... .. sorry tired, hungry, aching, and will load up some of the 798 photos I took over the weekend, onto pbucket tomoorow.

Thanks again Lemon (enjoy South Wales on Wednesday) everybody at S&T (damn I wish that "fleece fitted me!), all the musicians who played at the party and to the Ernie Ball Company.
Sterling your new stuff is amazing - and I'm gutted that I never got to try the Big AL at the show.

Finally I hope there is a good photo of Albert and the ALOC - that would make a nice memento for Albert.

Huge thanks again Pete for putting on a really great party. As the others have already said, it was a cracking good night and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The music line up was fantastic and it was great to meet even more of you Knuckleheads this year too. Maybe I'll get up with Colinboy next year to duel the Devil! ;) Need to perfect some Ralph Macchio licks first!!

Only downer was that I was caught by a sneaky speed camera in the tunnel on the way out of Excel grrrrrr :(
