Lets say you have a gig where the first hour is mellow...the second set is rockin....you program one bank for the mellow...the second for rockin

Out of curiosity, will there be a way to "mechanically" select anything? I.e. bypass or over-ride the electronic switching?

Let's say you need a basic bridge-humbucker-in-series sound and you can't remember which bank it is in. Any way to just flip one switch and get there immediately?

Or am I misunderstanding how it will work?

So I was just thinking- while the idea of a million pickup options isn't up my alley, if the gamechanger does end up being bluetooth equipped for updating it from the iphone Ap, what's to stop it from also transmitting. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a specialized midi controller with a bluethooth receiver of its own that could then control your entire rig.

Imagine controlling your whammy pedal from your guitar, or having the selector that switches to your neck pickup also put you on the clean channel of your amp, switch off your slapback and turn on your reverb and chorus, all at once. That seems kind of nifty.

Sleepytime is just over and there's already a five-page thread about the gamechanger...did I miss something...?
Heck yes, I did!
Absolutely brilliant and truly worth being called a "game changer", can't wait for more details, I still didn't fully grasp this one...mind bogglin. Congrats BP and crew!

I think that's an excellent idea. We're all so limited by the few wiring choices guitars have to offer ... there's about a million cool ways to wire up a guitar and we usually barely scratch the surface. Some of us nerds spend too much time wiring and re-wiring to try stuff out ;)

Nice work Drew and BP! That's a "why didn't I think of that" innovation. Can't wait to play with it.

Plus, now you won't have to deal with those "how to I rewire my EBMM" threads

Hey Beej- you are going to have a peaceful life now. I will need to harrass you about other things now- do you want to start playing distance chess or scrabble? :D

Is that how you get the combinations on the SM Y25D??

The Y25D is hardwired, not the gamechanger. Although, when BP and Steve called to verify which options they wanted on the proto, it would have been cool to send him a file to upload the new settings to his 25th on the spot! Things to come.....

Out of curiosity, will there be a way to "mechanically" select anything? I.e. bypass or over-ride the electronic switching?

Let's say you need a basic bridge-humbucker-in-series sound ...

The "basic" sounds could come pre-programmed. If you never wanted to use the gamechanger, you never have to re-program/switch anything. Just play the guitar using the "stock" 5 way switch as normal, and you would never know the difference.

Glad you all dig the gamechanger! We are constantly thinking up more and more things to do with it, and can't wait to finalize details. But as BP mentioned earlier....this is still the early stage!

It's an awful idea :mad::mad::mad:

Some of us (yes, Butch I'm talking to you) will spend countless hours messing with this game changer !

It's really a bad thing for our wifes & kids :D:D:D

im still in awe at this 'game changer' and it truly is a game changer! you guys at EBMM are amazing. this is why i choose to play EBMM guitars now, because you are always looking for ways to improve/get more out of the instruments. and this is a perfect example of that! :) i cannot wait to hear a demo of it ;)

You will have the ability to program your guitar from the web or from your iphone as an app. You can store favorites for different gigs or recording...you can swap patches and you can download rock stars patches

THIS is cool. Will this be restricted by the current pickup setup you have? or do we all have to get a new ball with HHHH configutation?:D
