I just found this video. If you manage to take your eyes off the cute singer, watch the bass player toting a 100th NAMM StingRay 4.

There are more songs of the same show. Band is name Carsitters. Funny name. I even like their sound... :D

Funny that the camera guy sacrifices the top of her head to keep her breasts in the frame more often than not. "toting"? Where r u from again Oli? I thought only Jack and I (Alabama boy, here) used that word. :)

Nice to see such a great bass being gigged, it sounds awesome. A lot of people would just keep it locked away because its 'collectable', but its made to be played so its nice to see it being put to good use. ;)

I have no problem with that.... but I think there should be more bass pr0n!

errrr.... my English teacher back in high school asked me quite often "where did you learn that", when I used some word learned from song lyrics. Actually I learned a lot of English by translating song lyrics of bands I was interested in. I picked up that "toting" thing from a song by that "small MF with the high pitched voice" (TAFKAP IHOW). Thought it sounded cool, and it stuck with me. And when I wrote the above, my brain was void except for that word....

Yeah. I thought exactly the same. Plus it looks absolutely great.

Yeah, that definitely is a great looking bass. I would say better looking than the singer, but that's just me...

Ah, number 13. That has made the rounds. If I am not mistaken Oli, is that not the one that made it's way to Florida from you?

Yeah I think your right there Kirby i bought it from a guy in Florida on Ebay back in about october last year. So it now lives in Trowbridge Wiltshire UK. If anyone else knows anything about it's history I'd be interested in hearing about it.

I bought #13 from the original owner in California through a friend of mine. Since, out of some odd eBaying habits, I ended up having two of these and traded #13 for a nice looking 20th Anniversary StingRay. The trade was with a bass player from Florida. From whom you probably bought it. I probably should have kept it and sold it myself, since it had increased in value quite considerably... go figure.

Enjoy that bass!

Interesting thanks! So I guess that bass from your location info has been from US to Switzerland and back, then to the UK. Do you still have your other 100th namm and out of interest what number was that? It was in top notch condition (and still is) when i got it and looked like it had never been played, did you spend much time playing it? The guy i bought it from reckoned he'd only ever play it for 2 hours the day he got it from you. I've got to play it, it plays so well and looks so great it's gotta be done. But i look after my basses so well it will never look shagged. The guy sent me some great pictures that weren't from his Ebay add, think he said they were from the auction he'd won. Did you take them, they were wicked? They were the reason I went for it.

That's indeed the route it took. US > Europe > US > Europe. I still have the other NAMM bass, but don't play it... also spend only a couple of hours on #13. The feel of the glossy neck finish is just not my cup of tea. Same holds true for the 30th.

If you post one of the pics, I can tell you whether it was taken by me...
