I just placed my order: Stingray SLO HH with matching headstock.
That configuration will either be really popular... or not!
I was excited about the SLO and had been thinking about a HH anyway so this seemed like a perfect opportunity to get both in one crazy color.

I Just made the phone call paying off my Dargie Al.. Apparently the wait is only till September! I have never been so pumped to get a new guitar, something about the green...
Any chance on a rosewood neck option on this guy? Its not too late to alter my order..

Am I wrong or is this pic so very much different from the "official" ones - regarding the color?! I somehow still cannot get a "real" opinion 'bout the finish Though I think, I like the DD1 better....

Don't rely on pictures taken under uncontrolled environments to judge the actual color. The DD2's color changes from green to yellow to reddish depending on the way light hits it thereby making it difficult to photograph. The best approximations were provided by Dargin in the first page. Obviously it is in EBMM's best interest to present the digital copy as close to real life as possible.

That's what I mean: I am quite sure not to have "controlled" light conditions at home or on stage. So "real" snap-shots would be more realistic, weren't they?! Just thinkin'.....

Not really because of variances between the height of the ppl taking the showroom pics, the angle they held their cameras and the quality of their equipment. I bet you that if 20 knuckleheads took 20 pics of the NAMM DD2 display we will capture 20 different variations of green. Controlling the conditions ensures that the photographer can capture the real color as he/she sees it in front of him so he can convey that information as accurately as possible to us.
I had the same initial concern when I saw the photo above, but quickly landed where syciprider is. Although I would expect a bit darker and more yellow from the "actual" color (as seen in Dargin's shots), camera angle, light, etc. could deliver any possible variant of the "flipping" color and I suspect that's just what we have here. This is color shift, nothing more.

Unless you're trying to match your nail polish, or your dress, you should be fine basing the color on the original pics posted. It is color shifting paint, after all--if you want to change the tint, tilt your head.
You aren't getting a paint sample mailed out, so you have to work with what you've got. Having seen the official shots of Dargies and 25th Anniversary basses and then seen them in person, you are safe using the official shots for color representation.

Yeah, I was really surprised when I first saw Olive Gold in person. It's a really unique colour as the Dargie Delight II looks to be as well.

One more question on the Dargie Delight 2 that one of you guys might be able to answer:
Is string-through-body an option for bass-guitars? If yes, on which models? Or is this options limited to different countries?

It's not an option. The German distributor gets them on special runs done just for them, but I don't think that's the case with the DD2s.

I'm still waiting for some replies but one german dealer already wrote that STB was an option... So I was quite confused as I didn't find any informations in this forum 'bout STB availablility - at least in the U.S.
